Laura West Becomes Chartered Member of United Way of Story County Women With Initiative

Laura West recently joined the United Way of Story County Women With Initiative to help women achieve self-sufficiency and confidence through financial education. Laura serves on the committee responsible for developing the program and is also a charter member donor.

The United Way of Story County Women with Initiative was established in 2008 to help participants learn about personal finance in a workshop series. Topics like budgeting and savings strategies as well as understanding credit and loans are discussed. After the workshop, participants are paired with trained community mentors so they can take their new information and apply it to their everyday life.
